Queen Victoria’s boot?
Leather boot made by Peach & Co. Shoemakers, Stafford. The boot dates from the mid 19th century. A printed label that came with the object suggests that the boot was worn by Queen Victoria.
It is unlikely that the Queen wore this item. It is far too small and narrow for an adult! It is more likely to have been made as an exhibition piece to show off the skill and workmanship of the company.
